Shannon grew up and started dancing in Westchester County. She went on to study dance and economics at SUNY Binghamton University. After graduation she then went on to continue her training at Broadway Dance Center. In 2012 Shannon helped open Connecticut Dance Center in Stamford as Assistant Director. Students at CDC performed in The Nutcracker NYC, the NYC Dance Parade, and the CT Walk for Wishes. Shannon has recently completed her MA in Dance Education at NYU Steinhardt. She has performed with Aries in Flight, Alternative Arts Association, Rebecca Moore Dance, and Dance Kerr & Dancers. Shannon continues to teach creative movement, tap, and ballet in the Tri-State area. Shannon happily joined Roza Dance Company in 2016 and loves being apart of Shani’s creative process.
Lucia began her dance training at Ballet Chicago, where she was a member of the Ballet Chicago Studio Company for four years. She also attended various summer intensives, including those at Miami City Ballet and Alonzo King Lines Ballet. She moved to New York to complete a B.A. in English at Columbia University, where she performed with the Columbia Ballet Collaborative, Barnard Project, and Colab Performing Arts Collective. Lucia is currently dancing with Roza Dance Company and American Liberty Ballet.
Lindsey received her early dance training at O’Connell’s Dance Studio in Toledo, OH. She later trained at the Performing Arts Center in Los Angeles, CA, received her BA in Dance and Performance Studies from UC Berkeley and her MA in Dance Education with a concentration in Teaching in the Professions from NYU. Lindsey was the recipient of the Mask and Dagger Award for extraordinary student contribution in her studies at UC Berkeley and has performed with the Mandalone Project, Berkeley Dance Project and MixMatch Dance Festival in California. She continues to perform with Aries in Flight, DanceKerr & Dancers and Roza Dance Company in NYC.
Avery is thrilled to be dancing with the Roza Dance Company! She graduated with a degree in Dance from University of California Davis in 2013. After graduation, she moved to New York and has been dancing in the city ever since. She has performed with Chris Ferris and Dancers, Krissy and the Works, and DC2. Most notably, she performed at the Edinburg Fringe Festival for DC2 in 2018.
Marlee hails from Syracuse, NY where she grew up studying dance at Tawn Marie's Dance Centre. Marlee attended the University at Buffalo, earning a B.F.A. in dance and B.A. in mathematics. While studying at UB, Marlee was cast as a dancer in Zodiaque Dance Company and performed with the company for three years. She also choreographed for numerous faculty and student run shows and was selected to perform at the American College Dance Festival. Professionally, Marlee has performed with Melanie Aceto Contemporary Dance, Phoenix Project Dance, Open Dance Ensemble and Roza Dance Company and choreographs across Central New York. She currently resides in Brooklyn, NY.
